ang para sa pilipinas ay sa pilipinas..
tayo ang mas may karapatang makinabang sa mga likas na yaman ng pilipinas na nagnganganib na mawala saten kapag hinayaan natin ang patuloy na pagpasok ng pwersang amerikano sa ating bansa.

Hi BanBalikatan staff and readers,

In solidarity with the people of the Philippines, we here in the United States have spearheaded a campaign to end the U.S. military air to the Philippines.

Our efforts in 2006 did not go unnoticed as we sent in family members of HRV victims to the U.S. Congress. The AFP, GMA’s hired goons have tried to intimidate the witnesses but failed as Senator Boxer blocked out the military units. A resolution was attached to the U.S. military aid to the R.P. with the stipulation that those responsible for the extrajudicial killings shall be brought to trial and sentenced for their crimes or else military funding is reduced.

Although extrajudicial killings may have decreased, many human right violations still occur such as forced disappearances and raping women as a way to retaliate against the New People’s Army. The consequences are that innocent people have become the targets of the U.S. Arroyo Clique mainly do to frustration in apprehending the NPA.

We here in the United States are now jump starting another petition that we want to share with you which calls for the ending of the unequal relations between the United States and the Philippines by Junking the Visiting Forces Agreement and Surrendering Lance Corporal Smith who was a rape victim of the U.S. military personal.

as for us bicolanos…misery and violations of human rights ang dala ng balikatan exercises na ito. si rizallih bansawan ng CRG? barking dog lang yan, ala laman ang utak kundi rabis at pulbura. ano? rabis at pulbura? deadly concoction, isn’t it?

I commend the Anti-VFA and Anti- Balikatan Balikatan Caravan
for their courage in pursuing their patriotic objectives despite
the harassments they are facing from the AFP and US imperialist dogs. Though the mercenary AFP and their masters have unleashed terror against the caravan, I hope this will not deter them. Mabuhay ang caravan! Down with the AFP mercenary troops!
